Welcome to Belmont Laser LTD

Belmont Laser LTD is a company based in Belmont Co Offaly that makes 2D art out of metal sheets to put onto the wall in the house of outside. We make signs for gates and custom items for people. You can draw whatever you want on the website so we can make in specially for you. We are a small company we only started in September.

We make parts for companies as well like Belmont Plant & Equipment. All are products are at the highest quality.  You can see the Laser work with a video for the laser cutting. You can contact us on 087 9538953 or email us. The material we use is mild steel. The steel we can cut is 2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm,8mm,10mm and 12mm. The standard sheets are 3000mmx1500mm. The Laser we use is a HS-G3015X Laser

If you have an idea of a drawing, you can drop it onto the website via our contact form here. We take JPG and DXF files.

What are the Main Advantages of Laser Cutting?

  • Cuts non-ferrous material easily.
  • Efficient equipment for quick production.
  • Air, oxygen and nitrogen requires less cutting energy.
  • Cuts through the thickest of metals – including mild steel.
  • Can create complicated shapes and designs.
  • Very accurate and long lasting results..

The sizes of mild steel

  • 3mm 2500 x 1250
  • 3mm 3000 x 1500
  • 4mm 2500 x 1250
  • 4mm 3000 x 1500
  • 5mm 2500 x 1250
  • 5mm 3000 x 1250
  • 6mm 2500 x 1250
  • 6mm 3000 x 1500
  • 8mm 3000 x 1500

How does CNC laser cutting work?

The laser beam is a column of very high intensity light, of a single wavelength, or color. In the case of a typical CO2 laser, that wavelength is in the Infra-Red part of the light spectrum, so it is invisible to the human eye.

The beam is only about 3/4 of an inch in diameter as it travels from the laser resonator, which creates the beam, through the machine’s beam path. It may be bounced in different directions by a number of mirrors, or “beam benders”, before it is finally focused onto the plate. The focused laser beam goes through the bore of a nozzle right before it hits the plate. Also flowing through that nozzle bore is a compressed gas, such as Oxygen or Nitrogen.
